Scheming pivot Darren Lockyer and boom forward Dave Taylor were the stars as Brisbane restricted the competition leaders to a first-half penalty goal and racked up its third successive win.

St George Illawarra brushed aside the absence of seven first team regulars to thump premiers Manly 48-18 at WIN Stadium and continue their charge toward the NRL minor premiership.The Dragons re-affirmed their grip on top spot with an eight tries to three demolition.
